The Brunswick Library's charter was on the verge of being revoked due to lack of space. They embarked on a capital campaign to raise money for a new building. Doug Bartow of id29 and I worked together to give them a new identity. I met with the library board and designed brochures, donation pledge cards, and thank you cards that are being used to raise funds across the community. The campaign has raised over $380,000 to date.

I began working at Berkshire Marketing Group in July of 2008, and immediately began helping them prepare for an overhaul of their identity and website. The website had not been updated in 8+ years, and the company's look felt dated. I wrote and proposed a plan including logo, collateral, and an entirely new, social-media-heavy website. BMG's other designer and I created the new logo, and I started website comps. We're getting there!

CHSLI, a health system in Long Island, wanted to redesign their system website, to incorporate all their hospitals and affiliates into one system, letting community members know they had many healthcare choices in the area. We provided three first round comps, and combined two of them to create an earthy, relaxing look. The homepage highlights CHSLI as a system, and from there breaks it down into affiliate hospitals, and then conditions, showcasing physicians from various hospitals as experts in their field. As a Catholic hospital, it was important to keep a personal connection and not feel sterile.

Good Samaritan Hospital in Long Island asked for an updated look for their website. I sketched and concepted a look that included their original colors and kept a similar structure, for ease of programming. It also had to match comps done for their parent system, Catholic Health Services, without being a direct duplicate.

The North Shore Association of REALTORS® asked iMarc to redesign their look, from logo to website. I worked directly with the client to design the new logo and logotype, create a color palette unique to NSAR, and define logo and typography standards. I also created a collateral and stationery package. The team then moved into designing a website for NSAR's REALTOR® members to obtain news and resources, as well as for local North Shore consumers to find a REALTOR® and learn about buying or selling a home.

The Georgetown University Student Association contacted me to redesign their organization's website. The current site was unappealing to students and did not provide an adequate place for news or a way to update students on newly elected officers or events. The new site design has a more youthful, exciting look and a rotating image on the homepage using jQuery. WordPress is being used as a content management and updating system.

I began working with Reflection's Edge in 2004. RE is an online literary magazine with monthly issues; I designed the original site and provided technical support for updates and archiving of old issues, resources, and author biographies. Four years later, we launched a brand new, redesigned site, with a WordPress CMS to automatically update issues, archives, and authors.

In my junior year of college, the RPI Graphics Club teamed up to create a logo for a popular eatery in downtown Troy, NY run by two RPI graduates. Shake Shake Mama's serves vegetarian sandwiches, salads, and smoothies, as well as coffee and bakery products. Their old logo was difficult to understand, but they wanted to keep the hand-drawn feel. We went through multiple revisions until settling on this illustration. I chose the typography, and we painted and printed signs for both inside the shop and their outdoor A-frame stand. In 2008, they contacted me to design their website. Unfortunately, Shake Shake is now closed.

MotoGP is an international motorcycle racing championship that is held every year. Manufacturers such as Honda, Yahama, Ducati, and Suzuki, along with private teams, compete in seventeen races all over the world for the most prestigious title in motorcycle racing. For my senior year Information Design class, we created a 25" x 30" print poster. The goal of this poster was to explain the 2006 season of the MotoGP races. Each race is shown with a number, in the order of events, as well as location, top 5 finishers, lap times, lap record, and number of points gained for that finishing position. A viewer can trace the entire race season and see the points add up; a chart of the final winners, as well as top finishers pie charts are in the bottom right corner.

For my junior year Graphic Design for Corporate Identity class with Sara Tack of Smith and Jones, we were tasked to take a brief and create a logo, logotype, collateral, and ultimately a graphics standards manual. Windham Mountain is a ski resort in upstate New York, that was looking to become more upscale and family friendly. The logo I created was intended to evoke a chalet-style ski resort, with multiple colors to distinguish the separate divisions of the company.

Alchemy Werks is a data protection software start-up company. They came to me to create a logo for their new business, as well as collateral materials such as business cards and stationery. The logo visually represents nodes of data, expanding across a network. It needed to be clear and simple, and professional, yet young and engaging. It will be used not only as a mark on their cards, stationery, and website, but also for their software task bar icon.
